During the 2nd Trade Negotiating Forum on Trade in Services which was held in Geneva in 2000, SADC Member States have selected priority sectors for liberalization at the regional level, namely communication services, construction services, financial services, tourism services, transport services and energy-related services. The sectors were chosen in function of the potential contribution to the development of SADC and the strengthening of other services sectors.
