The following is a synopsis of the various components of the UNCTAD at WSIS website. We encourage you to visit the site regularly for the most up-to-date information.
The UNCTAD at WSIS website has four main sections:

UNCTAD events at WSIS
This section offers an overview of UNCTAD's participation in the World Summit of the Information Society (WSIS). It provides information on the different UNCTAD events in Tunis, including:
- Parallel events in which UNCTAD participates as a co-organiser
- Exhibition stand
- Presentations to be carried out at the exhibition stand
- Workshops
The following tools are provided to assist participants and other site users in finding information about the different events:
- Events by date: A chronological list of all events taking place from 15 to 19 November 2005.
- Events by type: All UNCTAD events at WSIS grouped into categories.
This section will also present an overview of UNCTAD's previous contribution to the WSIS.
ICT policy and research
This section introduces the work UNCTAD does in the field of ICT policy and research, including:
- The UNCTAD Information Economy Report
- UNCTAD's work on measuring ICT for development
- The promotion of free and open source software
ICT-based programmes
This section presents the different UNCTAD programmes that use information and communication technologies to support economic growth in developing countries, such as:
- ASYCUDA: a customs computerization programme
- TRAINFORTRADE: a training and capacity building programme
- UNCTAD Virtual Institute: a network of universities
- E-tourism initiative: a tourism promotion programme
- DMFAS: a debt management and financial analysis programme
- INFOCOMM: a knowledge management tool on commodities
- Investment Gateway: an electronic investment information system
- Connect Africa Initiative: a partnership for African LDCs
