São Paulo is a conservative city where business attire is the norm on most occasions. Dark suits and cocktail dresses are suggested for formal events, although on weekends casual attire is acceptable at most venues.

During the winter months of June, July and August, warm coats and sweaters are recommended. Temperatures can vary as much as 10°C (18°F) in one day. It is a good idea to pack a wrap or raincoat regardless of when you visit Brazil.
