UNCTAD is currently carrying out a three-party partnership, involving a public investment funds from Quebec, the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and UNCTAD. A plan of action is being prepared with the Department of Computer Science for the short, mid and long term.

A conference on electronic tourism, intended to help developing countries to become more autonomous was held on Wednesday 14 December. The conference was organized by the Centre International de Formation et de Recherche en Tourisme (CIFORT) and by the Laboratory for Research on Technology for E-commerce (LATECE).
